I am a 27 year old cellist attending Stony Brook University's school of music fall to pursue a Doct[ --- censored --- ] of Musical Arts (DMA). I have served as principal cellist of the Sarasota Orchestra in Sarasot, FL and have decided to further my education in New York. I will be studying with one of the great cello soloists playing today (Colin Carr), and am very excited about the opportunity to experience the music life in New York.

I am hoping to find anyone interested in supporting a musician in the arts by providing housing at an affordably low rate. I am willing to do this in exchange for any housework/chores/concerts/lessons if that is preferred. Ideally, I would like to live close to the Stony Brook area in such towns as Port Jefferson or Kings Park, but I have a car and could live anywhere in the Long Island area. I could also potentially live in the NYC area. If you enjoy the sounds of the cello, I can provide some lovely background music (since I will be practicing on a daily basis).
