Homestay message
Hello everyone. I am very outgoing single mother of 3 girls ages 25, 18 & 14. We are all very friendly and outgoing and enjoy the company of others. We love music, dancing, shopping, theater, cinema, the outdoors and sports.
We live in a large home in a safe, convenient area in Queens. We have a family room with TV, video games, pool table and a laundry room. Our backyard has a pool and barbeque. We are close to everything: shopping, transportation, restaurants, parks, the beach, library, airport and houses of worship.
We have been hosting students/travelers for the past 5 years. Our guests have ranged from ages 15 - 65, male & female. We have hosted people from all parts of the world, France, Germany, Spain, Korea, Australia, Japan, Sweden, Jamaica, Brazil, Portugal, China and Turkey. We are still in contact with a number of the guests that we have hosted.
I work for a private university in New York City and can assist with learning English. My children are achievers in school, one volunteered and taught High School equivalency classes, swimming, arts & crafts, another an assistant early childhood teacher. My daughters are all computer oriented. My youngest daughter is self-taught and plays several musical instruments, sports oriented and has volunteered with fund raising for several organizations.
I have dealt with several English Language schools in NYC and am registered with the German American Chamber of Commerce. My 18 year old spent a month in Germany as an exchange student and I hosted their daughter for a month.
We are a close family and involved in many things and enjoy including our guests so don't be surprised if we ask you to sing with us, go bike riding or dancing!
Internet & cable TV is included along with all other utilities. Laundry room on premises. The fee is a weekly fee of $250.00 per week.
Continental breakfast & dinner daily. Airport pick-up can be arranged for a fee. LaGuardia $60 R/T Kennedy $50 R/T and Newark $100 R/T.
